The Shard Residences

Designed as super-prime units at the top of London's tallest building, the Shard Residences are unlike any residential space. Akin to living in a lighthouse, the fully-glazed facades allow for 360 degree, uninterrupted views over one of the world's most vibrant and historic cosmopolitan cities.

Some of the lower apartments have substantial floorplates, but as the central core of The Shard is unchanging, the smaller square footage of the floors above is offset by the increasingly spectacular views. These were complicated spaces to resolve because of the complexity of the Renzo Piano architecture, so each layout is unique and fine-tuned to the available space. The beauty and integrity of materials, bespoke craftsmanship and obsessive attention to detail create a new interpretation of luxury, which is synonymous with this iconic addition to the London skyline.

“In my view, the interior design of the Shard Residences has created an architectural environment without equal in any current new development in central London. The ‘look’ is ultra luxurious, warm and contemporary. But the quality comes from simplicity, integrity of materials and obsession with detail. These are apartments without compromise. Due to the raking of the facade and asymmetry of the floorplates, each layout is unique and has been fine-tuned to each floor. These apartments will be classics of the future.”
