Private Members Club

This brief was to create the ‘next generation’ of members’ club for London, something of which the city has a long and rich tradition. The building is organised with a single function to each floor, for which we assigned a defining material. The ground floor (arrival) is terrazzo; the first floor (salon) is limestone, and so forth – in this way we accentuated the experience of navigating each space, affording each domain its own unique atmosphere and sense of place.
